Take the orange off of the spot and put in back of the rack on all but the opening break. The players can't like going into the rack with the ball up there, way to much luck involved. Going into the balls with the ball removed would give them a much better chance of playing a controlled breakshot.
Straight pool style.

I was thinking the same thing! I was practicing BB breaks a few days ago and the break is crazy hard. I like the idea. Much more closely emulates the 14.1 rack.
