Has anyone had experience with early 20th c. BBC convertible rails?
Are they solid? Easy to convert?
Any info or diagrams on how they were built? (Of the hardware)
I understand they were a factory option/conversion performed at the factory, that is not the question.

Would love access to a 3c table for myself, but 99.8% of serious players i know and 100% of casual players would have no interest.

Just to be clear, my experience/exposure to 3c is very slight, but it always fascinated me & would like to become at least moderately competent.

I believe that I still have a set of rails from a BBC Baby Grand. I burned the table, but kept the rails. You are welcome to them, if you'd like. It should give you a good idea of how to replicate the design, or maybe even use some of the hardware.

You are on, Geoff!
Will contact by email.

Trent - thanks for the encouragement - wish i could just work on the table and not the house.
I "semi" retired, but may have to find a paying project to support some of this.
Sigh, time or money. Never did get good with both when younger and may be too late to change.
I do keep pushing forward, though.
