Does anyone know the players rate for the Riviera during the BCA National tourney? Thanks for the help.

According to the BCA League site,
The cutoff date for player hotel reservations for the BCA discount rate was April 11th. The rate was $79/nite for up to 4 people.
Circus Circus is close and has a link for making reservations....

If at all possible I would stay at the Riviera...One year I stayed at Circus Circus and although it was cheaper it sucked because my room was on the farthest side of Circus Circus and then there is Las Vegas Boulevard, and then the entire Riviera, then the convention center, then the pool playing area!! It was soooo far away, like a half mile each way..Save yourself alot of walking! I can't wait for this event...I captain a pretty strong team out of Modesto, CA, look for "Team Pain" to go far in the open division! See you on the table..........................Marc

lol...That reminded me of the time I had a broken toe and we were staying at the Stardust's cheap rooms (they were like trailers in the back lot). My buddy would let me start walking towards the Riv. He'd watch as I hobbled across the hot parking lot---ta dump, ta dump, ta dump---, while he smoked a cigarette. When he finished his cigarette, I was about 3/4 the way to the strip. By the time I had reached the strip, he was already across waiting for me at the Riv.

We swore we'd never stay that far away again, even though it was "just across the street."

Try a little casino/hotel off to the side of the strip on the road toward the Hilton, near the Riv., called Casino Royale. It is (was?) closer and cheaper, but the last time there, their gambling license was revoked so no table games. They used to have some of the best blackjack conditions in town, but I suppose that's a thing of the past like most of Vegas. :(

Stay at the Riviera cheaper than the BCA rate

If you are a gambler and qualify for "Player Rates" they are normally less than the rate the BCA has negotiated with the Riviera.

If you are not, you can be with not much effort.

Call the "Casino Host" or "Slot Host" at the Riviera. Mention that you want to stay at their hotel on an "observed" basis. You will get booked at the regular rate, or close to it, but can qualify for the "Player's Rate" without too much effort.

When I was there in 2002 for the BCA event, 105 slot points or more over a 3 day period got my wife and I a $49 room rate per night. After the 3rd night, we needed another 105 points to get the offer for another 3 nights, even if we only needed 1 more night. It wasn't much more to qualify for a comped room but that all depends on how much you play and for how long. They will look to comp gamblers that are worth more in terms of their rated play first.

What you want to make sure you do is find out in advance what the room rate will be if you DO NOT qualify for the player rate. If the rate is too high or the chances of you qualifying for the player rate is low, you might not want to take this approach.

What are the payouts for the event?

How much do they pay for the first place team - how many players on team?

How much do they pay for first in singles event?

Oh, and how many teams are estimated to attend?

And approximately how many players for the singles event?
