WHAT A RUSH!! Vegas is as usual, wild ass competition, great people, and lots of POOL!
This is the final year for the Riviera, as 2013 will see the National Finals at the RIO in LAS VEGAS, IN JULY INSTEAD OF MAY!! Those of you who have been able to attend in the past because of kids in school will be able to attend now.
The Rio boasts player rooms 3 times the size of the Riviera, 20 restaurants, and uncountable bars (for those that care...lol).
The Riviera was "Saddened" about the move, however, after the new facelift they performed, the casino was so "tight" that many people are holding on to their money, or taking it elsewhere. It's too bad, however, all the changes that were made have brought the Riviera down to a business grasping to stay alive (In my humble opinion.)
Even through all of this the Las Vegas National Finals is still an occurance that has to be experienced by any near serious pool player, at least once during a lifetime. The comradery that goes on here between teammates, meeting new friends from all over the world, rubbing elbows with the pros, and being able to see and touch almost every custom cue, as well as being able to talk personally with the cuemakers. Just nothing like it.
Well, enough of my wind, if you haven't done it, schedule it in for July of 2013. You'll never be sorry.
