Last year I placed well in Singles and got bumped up to Advanced. No problem there, I feel like I can hang with Advanced players.
For the team events we are only allowed 1 advanced player on an open team. We have 2 advanced players now, so we are playing in the Advanced Team event.
It appears that the Advanced and Masters teams play in the same event? race to 11
Doesn't Masters have it's own category?
Maybe Mark or Ozzy could chime in? Or another person who knows?

I don't personally know as I'm neither advanced nor masterous. Some guys from here that finished 5-6th a few years ago were going to go again and because of their good finish 3-4 years ago they were going to have to play in the Advanced and they said it was all one bracket with the masters.

So there you have, confirmation from a guy who heard from a guy. Doesn't get less definitive than that. Good luck to you!

Pick up that phone and call. They have always answered the phone when I called in the past.

Chris,

Welcome to BCAPL Hell. Yes, your team will be playing in what really is the Team Masters event. One Master and three Advanced or Open players. Those players do not even have to be from the same league. You can have two players from your Tucson league team and two from Phoenix as long as all four are BCAPL qualified players (eight matches). The two players from your league must play each round. If you're really unsure about this strategy, move over to the Open event and drop one Advanced player from the roster.

The rules you are looking for can be found on the BCAPL website. Go to www.playbca.com. In the header, find League Policies. Under that heading, you'll find the specifics for the events you wish to play in. I gave up trying to put together a competative Advanced Team from Rochester. Chose to play the 3 man 9 ball instead!

Good luck and have fun.

Lyn,

Thanks for the reply. Once I saw the teams in the event, I kind of figured it out. Just wanted a lil clarification.
I guess when our team signed up, we thought there would be an advanced teams division unto itself. Live and learn I suppose. We will still have a good time, hard not to in Vegas.
On paper our team will probably have the lowest ratings, but we will try to give em hell.
