Bcn.....?

I had some very bad experiences with BCN. Shortly after I signed up a few years ago, they were having "technical problems" that affected the delivery of the matches. Typically the matches arrived on my computer at least 3-4 weeks after they were supposed to (and I had a very fast connection). A few months later, they abandoned the desktop delivery system entirely, and did not respond at all to my email requesting that they refund a portion of my membership fee. Also, as part of my membership, I was supposed to get a subscription to Billiards Digest. After several months of not getting any issues, I called Billiards Digest and they told me that BCN had not sent them the money for my subscription. They started sending me issues anyway, which was very nice of them -- but it was clear that their relationship with BCN was not going well. As a result of these experience, I do not intend to ever give BCN any more of my money, and I would encourage others to think carefully about doing so as well.

Boy was I excited when I bought the $29.95 package for the DCC. That excitement quickly turned into dissapointment. I sent emails, called, left messages etc etc etc. I did get a call from someone - he explained that I needed to do a couple of things to my internet connection (DSL) and then it would be all right.

I sent them an email saying I expected a credit on the credit card I used for the subscription and they curtly replied - "negative."
Frozen pictures..stop frame action...poor quality pictues..etc etc.
What a great opportunity BCN has to make some money and help get pocket billiards, billiards, snooker etc the sports recognition it deserves....too bad.
On a slight different subject...the tapes that Accustats puts out now seems like they are taped in conjunction with BCN. Maybe I'm not used to the newer style tapes but I do miss the old style format with Accustats doing the taping. However - I know that Accustats has to change with the times also (just like I do). If it helps grow the game - and its for the best - I'll support it.
