hi guys!

just want to ask you if any of you have any idea if the Bear cues used by steve knight and bustamante are also made by the falcon cues factory? i have read a thread here in the past about this but cant remember where is it. the last topic i read was that Bear is the affiliate company of falcon in europe and bear is marketed there as a counterpart but not a competitor of falcon who's in canada.
i happen to see one of the azers here with that steve knight bear custom and been thinking where to get one but with different choices and have it also rewrapped into lizard. the cue is just elegant for aproduction. american pool cue site is selling them but its in euros. and ahs any one of you hit with it for a long time and can compare its integrity with falcon, joss and schon with its original shaft not with a 314 pred. shaft? thanks!----diablo

You are correct, Bear cues supplied by Dynamic Billiards (in Germany) are indeed made by Falcon. Falcon also make a number of other cues for other cue manufacturers. They are excellent quality I have to add.

Steve Knight has owned a variety of Bear cues, most of which have been custom made for Steve. I know this because I have owned neraly all od Steve's old cues...including the one here on AZ that now belongs to the Mole. The cue was refinished and re-wrapped by the fantastic Kenny Murrell. Bustamante has also used a number of Bear cues, some custom made for him and some production. He goes through quite a few cues so there is not always the luxury of having a cue made so he makes do with a good production cue sometimes.

I have to stress again, these Falcon made Bear cues are excellent quality.

Agreed with the Diamond. Bear cues have very good quality, and the hit is to me better over any Falcon. I've owned a Bear cue as well and played with it for at least 4 years and really liked the hit. I sold it because the shaft became to whippy for my taste.

And don't mix Bear production cues with Mark Bear custom cues. They don't have anything to do with each other.
