Bees wax on cloth

Hi
I needed to use bees wax on a tight joint and knew enough to cover the table where I was working BUT I had warmed up the bees wax in the sun and when I foolishly opened the jar it unexpectedly spilled over onto the table I wiped it up immediately but of course there is now a big, dark, stain. Any thoughts about whether I can actually get the stain out considering what it is I spilled. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the reply. I was thinking of a new cloth before this happened so maybe this is a blessing in disguise

Many years ago, I had success removing beeswax from a rug. I placed a few layers of paper towel over the wax, and heated it with a clothing iron. Just be sure that you continue trading out the paper towels for fresh ones, so that you aren't just spreading the wax around..
No guarantees that it will work, but I don't think that you are really out too much if it doesn't.

Personally, I'd go at it with an upside down can of computer duster to freeze it, frozen C02 is way colder than ice. Once you get it ready to crumble, hit it with a razor blade as a scraper. Not like scraping paint off glass, just the opposite, use the backside of the blade and push it out of the cloth into crumbles. Duster is cheap so be sure to cool it sufficiently.

Finish it up with a hot air gun over a paper towel, the brown ones they use in restrooms if possible. Brown paper soaks oils and waxes quite well and also will protect whatever is behind it from heat.

EDIT: Hit it hard with a microfiber towel after that. Repeat as necessary.
