Dave always listens to the players and here is the result. New date, new rules, same great tourney location ;)

No handicaps & open to anyone!

This is the new and improved invitational?

Edit I'm an idiot who can't read.... Bump for the best in the midwest

New & improved dates, open to anyone & a better game all make for an overall improvement.

First 48 paid. No admission for spectators ;)

Hey good for you guys Duane.

Bold, forward thinking... I really like what you're doing at the Carom Room

Thanks for the positive comments, guys. Dave, Carlos & myself do try to provide a good enviroment for players in the tournament world. We have all used our many years of tourney experience in creating these events & tours to make them the very best.

I have learned that you cannot always please everyone but I think we provide a great experience for most of the players :)

You guys do an excellent job. Best tournament around in my opinion. That's why you get such a high response to all the tournaments.

why not open it to 64 players and not have 16 byes the first round? also do you draw your brackets out in the open?

Sounds like a loaded question

We pick the tournamet formats and try hard to keep it in the best interests of the Carom Room as well as the players. For what we are trying to accomplish the 48-player draw/schedule works best in this case.

We use tournament software from www.allprosoftware.com to enter player names and establish the initial brackets on a laptop before posting them on the big board on the wall. I have found the software to do a fine job of performing a random draw and it saves a great deal of time to boot.

Feel free to come check us out ;)

Great tourney, great room, great food, great equipment, and great payouts! Looking forward to it!

With this new date hoping to get all the top players from the area. Should be some real quality play

A buddy of mine would like to play in the event. Can he just mail a check and if so, to whom?
