Back to the pool scene after many years! Hands were itchy and thought to share a few new ones I recently got.
First up is an unusual one by Benny Custom Cues, a Filipino cue maker.
I saw some pics of his work at online marketplaces and thought to order one. While some of my design aspects were interpreted differently by the cuemaker, im really happy with how the cue turned out. Pretty much loaded with nice spalted tamarind and ebony wood, with my fav style - segmented handle box cues. The hit of the cue is really nice, medium stiff and is perhaps the one thing that surprised me the most. I ordered it with 2 shafts (one was slightly longer) and an extension. The joint was really snug (tight as an Olney, if you ever owned one). Cue turnaround time was pretty fast, within 2-3 months. I don't think you can find better quality for the same kind of money and work done.
