I just got back from Benton, they had 28 players from all over the state, they will be having this tournament the last Sunday of every month.

Tournament money and calcutta combined was about $2,000, I think it will only get better as time goes on, for $25.00 entry with nothing ADDED it wasn't to bad for a Sunday tournament.

Monroe Jones and Tim Baker were playing for the hot seat when I left, Al Orear, Dan Briggs, Ron Allen, & Chris Thornberry were rolling up the back of the pack when I left.

This is a nice little poolroom, Non-Smoking, the tables were tight pocket bar box valleys with simonis cloth, the tables really played great.

I won two matches and then lost two, first match I lost was hill/hill, then Dan Briggs beat me to death, 7-1, I didn't get to shoot much/ with only a few looks, kept me in jail!....lol...... that old man plays pretty good!

try again next month!


P.S This one guy told me I had a beautiful stroke and wished he could buy it!, I told him he sure could for about $700,000, that's what I got invested in it!..hehe

The owner put 6 guys in that had NO chance of winning or placing and also bought them at $5 & $10, so he really did ADD money, the tables are only 50 cent, as I said this tourney will only get better, and yes Calvin played.
