Berringer Tables

I have recently found out that the Canadian 9 Ball Championship will be played on Berringer tables. I have never seen or heard of them. A friend of mine in the billiards retail business says they are poor construction and of low grade materials. Is this the case? What experience has anyone here ever had in dealing with them? They look similar to a Black Crown. Do they play like them?

It is Mr. Billiard who is the table sponsor for the Canadians. I saw the site and just wanted to hear from people who have played on them. Looks can be deceiving and we all know a big price tag isn't always deserved.
