Berringer? Tables

Boston Billiards? I think is what's on the instructions....But the tables have Berringer? (I think it's spelled right)....on the end rail!

Real cheap in price........1st one we did was shipped for like 1200. Reminds me of the ZBilliards Tables, but these are like a puzzle! I bet if you count each screw.....and all the pieces these things come in.....you would count over 200 pieces! Or close....A bunch more than any table I ever seen, let me say that..lol

Anyway, My question is if any other mechs have set these up. We have done 4 I believe. The usual overseas table problems........pockets don't lign up, and stuff.
I just wonder if ZBilliards has changed a few things, and just slapped a new name on. Alot of similarities, but seems like a better finished product.........as long as you don't following their leveling instructions! EXAMPLE.......Once together...get the frame level under the feet, and screw them slates down tight!.....PRESTO IT'S LEVEL! They say they makes them so good that all you have to do is tighten the slates down and it will be plumb and level! Good Luck!

Any opinions on this table...postem!

I think the table overall for the price, is pretty good.
 
Here's how this works.....

There is one factory in Taiwan that makes these Uber crap tables. Who will sell to anybody...Zbilliards....Boston BIlliards.....Joe Table delivery guy.

There are about 65 (at last that I tried to count) companies that import them into the US....and about 280 (again at last count) places that sell this identical table to the end consumer.

If you buy direct, and are willing to pay for the tooling for the plate, you can get a "private label" table (i.e. Berringer, Zbilliards) for like $10 more.

They're all the same table, no matter what you call them....they change how they are built every so often, because whoever(insert distributor here) wants it done different so they are a little better looking, or they try to cut costs a bit, or someone comes up with an idea for a new design.

They're all built in the exact same place...and they're all crap....slates warped, pockets don't line up, and all have the option of that disgusting high gloss, ozone eating, piano finish.....

Yeah, I put a couple of them together....sold them too....still have a couple of friends that sell them out this way (CA) and they're still crap.

I talked to an importer.....said I could buy them at cost too, just had to buy like 50 at a time........for a real cheap price. I wonder out of 50, how many actually are sellable. Maybe 70% lol.

As they say you get what ya pay for..........God help those people that believe the instructions and put it together themselves!
 
I used to sell these junk tables too. Nothing but problems and headaches. They do have a good profit margin but your margin is greatly reduced by all the service calls to fix it. I cant stand imported tables, they're junk(most of them).
 
We actually had someone tell us that the people that sold them the table...told them that we would warrenty the table. The mechs that set it up would be responsible for the tables defects.........lol! We just asked the people if they honestly thought that sounded even close to correct!
I wanna say if you bought enough you could get them at 450 each.
 
The Black Champions run 450-550 ea. with slate and pockets. I think honestly this is the best made table they produce. One of the more popular tables are called an Ambrosia. These have many flaws in the finish, clearcoat and construction. These tables generaly wholsale for 650 and up, with slate and pockets. We used to sell Ambrosias for 1799-2199. Parts, Parts, Parts = Junk, Junk, Junk...
