Bert van Manen, are Carom Club using smaller table??

Yes, these are 2.30 x 1.15 tables, very popular in the Netherlands. They work very well as "stepping stone" for players to work on their skills before they advance to the 2.84 x 1.42. Also used to play the free game and balkline: what is known as 47/2 becomes 38/2, and 71/2 becomes 57/2. In 3-cushion, you can expect to play rougly 150 % of your "2.84" average on a 2.30. Or the other way around: a 1.000 average player on the 2.30 will do 0.650 - 0.700 on the full-size.

Thank Bert van Manen, for your Answer.

Dieckman said, you were the man. But was it because he was in your Book.

What the Euro cost for 2.30 x 1.15 compared to 2.84 x 1.42

Could you answer or give us (American), an insight on What requirement is needed to operated a Carom Club in the Netherlands or other European Countries.

this could be a stupid question so i appologize if it is
but since 3c from my limited knowledg is all about finding the "tracks" to the balls
and learning position
how does a smaller table help you??
the tracks are similar
except its easier to hit a ball thats closer

training wheels, why throw a kid in the deep end first?

let him learn to swim in the shallows

who starts pool starts with 1pkt on 9fters with 4.375inch pockets, not many anyways

they start with 8ball on quarter tables

we are talking about the most complex/ technical and difficult of any billiard games, 3c i believe anyways

good points

The smaller table makes the target (relatively) bigger, because the balls are the same size. Easier to shoot fish in a barrel than in a pond, right?

I think three-cushion is a bit more difficult on the smaller tables....
....the traffic pattern is tougher....at least for me.

I have played some four-ball on them at Korean and Vietnamese club....
...that game is easier on a small table.

This is from my limited experience....I'm very curious how some of you perceive it.
