If you spend as much time in a pool hall as I do your going to end up eating there too. I know it can range from hot dogs to linguini so lets hear it.
Here are mine:
Best
Twains in Decatur GA: A great menu ranging from really good burgers to an excellent greek salad platter with hummus and kalmetta olives.
Hollywood Billiards: Pricey but a very, very good on site restaurant. People actually go there for the food and do not play pool at all.
The Pool Rooms in Marietta and Gwynett: they have a trained chef and a very good menu that includes, steaks, pasta and very good salads. It is also very reasonably priced. You can get a good NY strip steak with a baked potato, salad and vegetable for 9.95!
Worst
Hands down this has to be Amsterdam Billiards in NYC: For a high end pool hall they really have a horrible menu. If a premade, possible not exactly fresh sandwich and stale torita chips with a tiny cup of salsa is what you crave, then great! To their defense they have no kitchen and really are not equipped for food service, but I think they could do better. It just makes it hard when you are stuck there all day for a tournament. Perhaps it has changed since I was there last but I don't think so?
Hard Times in Bellflower:
They have a kitchen, of sorts, but serve all that nasty prefabbed cheap junk. I'd hate to be stuck there all day, and there is little alternatives near by.
House of Billiards, Sherman Oaks:
Nachos and Hot Dogs do not a menu make...
considering the area and clientele like Hollywood Billiards a restaurant upgrade could bring in a lot more people...
