Best case for the money?

Very pleased with my PiggyBack case

From Seyberts.com, plain black Piggy Back 3x5 for $70 shipped Priority. I easily drilled a lock hole into it's thick steel for added protection. Cannot believe the value even 'til this day! Butts and shafts insert either way. (I have JP's on everything) Very lightweight, comfortable and rock sturdy inside/out. Shafts are protected apart from butts. (Butts go in the front, shafts in the back with a very hard plastic divider between)

My .0000000002 or 1/1000th of a grain of salt.

I didn't say this in your other thread but that entire latch can be pulled off that case in about five seconds without any tools. Plus the latch is not thick steel it's lightweight steel and the part you put a lock on can be broken off easily using the lock as a lever.

Also these cases are not any lighter than other foam core cases they only appear to be. It's an illusion because it's soft looking case.

All that said as long as you are happy then that's awesome. If you were lucky and got one with cavities that are smooth then you did well. Some folks are not so lucky with these interiors and they have lines of little hard beads inside that scratch and ding the cues.

john
i started a thread in the main forum but if you dont see it there maybe you would answer here
whats the difference between the sterling wave case and your jb basic rugged
i understand you have customizeable options with yours (and a $75 shipping fee if bought from you) but seyberts has a black one available 4x8 im interested in
price wise the wave and yours are close if bought from a dealer in the usa

could you compare the exteriors and interiors and anything else you feel is important

let me say im a big fan of the wave case and beleive it to be the best bang for the buck case
but now im intrigued about your bsic rugged

i guess i could buy one and check it out for myself and return it if i had to but your comments would be invaluable

thanks

Thank you!

I have very much respect for you because you provide excellent constructive criticism. That's the very reason why my next case could very well be a JB.

Basic Rugged Case

I, too, am interested in this case, would like to know how much it runs (include shipping), and what colors are offered. I would need a 3 x 5/6, a 3 x 4 would not do.

Thanks ...

i found a sterling with ultra pad 4x8 with a plain cover
i cant find where i bought it and alll the details
it was LESS THAN $100
this could be be the best case for bang for the buck
ive ordered a jb basic to compare for myself
i get back with a wave/sterling basic (my name)/jb basic
comparison

sterling wave $129
http://www.seyberts.com/products/Black_/_Blue_Wave_4x8_Cue_Case-102170-10305.html
sterling hard case $104
http://www.cuesight.com/sth12k.html
jb basic rugged $120
http://www.seyberts.com/products/JB_Basic_Rugged_Black_4x8_Pool_Cue_Case-103663-10488.html
heres is my opinion
the jb case is classsy and definitely well made
the "j " zippers on the pockets are not as convenient to access to the contenets of the pockets as the wave (best) or basic sterling
the double straps of the wave give the most comfortable carrying
compared to a single strap
the sterling basic gives you the option of handle location on the side or inbetween the pockets

the padding in the jb case is deeper and being black like the others hard to find the holes
the others being closer to the top of the case although also black are easier to find the spaces
SO
all things being closer to equal
for me the best bang for the buck case is ............
THE STERLING WAVE
