I looking for a new shaft for my Joss cue, The first thing I'm going to do first is to get my factory shaft turned down to 12.50 or 12.75 with a talisman or moori tip. I'm sure I'll buy another shaft such as the preadtor 314 or mcdermott I-2, I'm looking at the black dot shaft also but I doubt I'll get it because Muecci quality is non-exist,lol

Thanks,Tj

The best shaft you can get is the one that comes with the cue!! If you want an extra one just call up joss and get another one made.

i also have a joss and didnt like the 13.25 mm tip. got it turned down the other day to 12.5mm and lengthened the taper about an inch or two. Feels a whole lot better. I was also thinking about buying a new shaft (314, I-2, etc). But am glad i turned down instead. IMO I would also purchase another joss shaft if you want an extra one.

If you really are a golfpro, you should know the importance that weight plays in a shaft...golf or pool. Unless you change out the weight bolt in the butt of your cue to coincide with the weight of the new shaft, it'll throw the weight and balance off from what you're used to using. Predator or I-2 will be lighter than the normal Joss shaft and the Universal joint shaft will be slightly heavier. If you want more forward balance the Universal will help in that regard. Weigh your butt and shaft first and figure out what you're trying to accomplish.

What's the deal w/Joss and those 13.23 mm shafts?!!! Are the "kids" growin' up a lot bigger these days to justify this?

Btw, those predator shafts are very, very impressive (especially with draw shots!!!) but I like deflection! ;) The ones by Tiger Productshit real solid, but the one I tried didn't produce as much "zip" when drawing the cue ball. Not to say all Tiger shafts are bad.. they do make awesome stuff!!!

IMHO, the shaft that comes with your cue should do just fine, unless your just not happy with the hit/feel and play of the cue.

Now personally, if i had a Joss i would turn it down to 13mm or 12.75. Or just use the shaft at normal size to break with.

But i do know a couple people who have a Joss and they love them. One guy i know who is a APA 9, went from using a Meucci Original to a Joss, and the only thing he didnt like about the joss, was that it hit like a log, and had a very stiff hit.

So I take it the drivers you make are not really used in computers. Is Doug still around?

Nope...they're used to pound a golf ball over 400 yards. Why wouldn't he be...he's a favorite of the head man. He and a few others are on the protected list. (wanna guess what list I'M on?)
