I just need a stick until i can get back on feet and then im going to get a good one, I cant stand shooting with house sticks!, does anyone know the best hitting cue for under $100 cheaper the better, I dont care about looks at all right now. But surely there is some decent hitting sticks out there for this price. thanks!

Scott:

I am sure somebody (maybe an AZ'er) has an old (but good!) cue around that you could get for around 100 bucks.

If you don't get any offers, track cues on Ebay and get to know the ones in your price range. You should be able to snag something that will tide you over until you can upgrade.

i have an older dufferin house cue that was converted by meucci to a two piece cue. that used the meucci joint pin and put the meucci taper on the shaft. i recently had a moori tip put on the shaft and it has not been used since. the butt weighs 16.7 oz and the shaft weighs 4.0 oz and the tip is 12.87mm. it's in nice shape, no dings or dents. the grain lines up when you screw it together. $100 plus $10 shipping if you are interested. let me know.

That sounds good except one of the guys (not my fav. person) I shoot with has a dufferin sneaky pete, and If i get that then I would NEVER hear the end of it, they are nice cues though

You can get a Lucasi sneaky for $120 new from Seyberts I think. My friend bought one and hes been playing with it for over a year. He really likes it.

you might get lucky and find a used custom sneaky for around 150. I know that's about what woody's go for around here. I would look around a pawn shop or even find someone trying to pawn his cues.

No Scott, you are not missing anything. The Palmers that are coming up when you google are old Palmers that were made in the 60"s and 70"s & 80"s or what would be called collector cues.
The Palmers that I offer for sale are present day Palmers. They are great quality imported production cues. The same stuff you will find in the Palmer booth at the national events. You won't be disappointed.:)

Imported palmers? are they made by him or another company with his name on it? seems weird to me

Yes Imported Palmers.

Yes there has been imported Palmer cues for over 10 years now. There never was a owner named Palmer. The original owners name was Balner. When he pass on the company continue for a while under wife and son. After that it was sold and the import business began about 1994.

thats what i was thinking, but i wasnt for sure on that, is the reason i asked cause i didnt know for 100% certain sorry for any inconvience.

I bought one of rack'em's palmer - titlist/hoppe copies just to see what thay were like and I can't seem to put it down. I'm a mootchie fan ,have asix of them, and I find myself using the palmer more. About $100.00. Could not believe it. No overlays. Real veneers. Straight.

Suggestion

The Huebler Sneaky Pete is a good stick for the money too. About $110-120.

I bought one of rackems palmer- titlist/hoppe look a likes and was pleasently surprised. No overlays. Real veneers. Pretty stick. Shoots great.I'm a mootchi fan ( own 6) but I find myself screwin' the rackem cue together more and more. I shoot about thirty hours a week.
