Better Pocket Liners?

I have a 1978 or so Monticello III Brunswick table. It has the pocket liners with recessed holes for hex head screws on the corners. The black plastic rubs off on the cue pretty easy when bridging over the pockets. Can someone reccommend a better liner? Thanks for your help.

If your pockets are the same bolt-in pockets as those used on a Gold Crown (sounds like they are by your description) then Classicbilliards.com sells a set of replacement liners that are the ticket. I just ordered a set of Black ones from Ken yesterday $120 for my GC 1. They are made of a softer rubber as compared to hard plastic like my grey original liners were made of. We have the softer ones on a GC 1 in town and they have been on the table for over 2 years and still look like brand new and don't leave any plastic residue on a your cue.

Gold crowns do not use liners. they use gully boots, which is a full
pocket that feeds into the return.

The monticello if i am not mistaken uses just a liner which is
approx 4 in. tall and curved like the pocket. the ball hits the
liner and falls onto the return.

You would need a set of liners with the bosse holes. if you
cannot find liners, you could use a set of drop pockets.
ken at classic has a set of drops with the recessed screw
for 65.00. just trim off the bottom half and your good to go!

I hate to disagree but many Gold Crowns do use pockets!

If you would read carefully and know what a pocket liner is!
i said gold crowns do not use liners! which they do not.
a pocket is NOT a liner. A liner is a shield only, a balls falls
DIRECTLY onto the return. A pocket is where the ball falls
and stays. brunswick medalist uses a liner, also olhausen
champion pros.

I used the term liner incorrectly, I should have said drop pocket in my post. Thanks for the correction Scruffy1.

Thanks!

Thank you for the info. I'll look into cutting the drop pockets if no one has the exact pieces.
