Dynamite cue made before he invested in CNC equipment. IMO the inlay work is comparable to or exceeds any other cue maker. I've seen this cue in person and the design is stunning while the execution is flawless. True, original survivor from the early eighties. This cue was made when many of Bill's cues were sold as Szamboti's by unscrupulous dealers. I'm bringing that up because that's how strong the quality of his hand made cues is. I'd be a player for this cue if I didn't already have a very fancy one of this vintage. Someone is going to make a heck of a score!

Hey Ribdoner, what a plug!! I would be a player for this cue to, but I'm selling my Franklin Southwest so I can buy a Prewitt merry widow with cnc dot ring work. Seems like crusty old guys who remember clunky old cues like Szams,Tads and the like have missed the boat. Glad to see you are on the AZ boards trying to re-educate yourself about what makes a good cue.

Thanks--I'll be able to figure out what you said when this peculiar smelling smoke clears. Darn cigars

Are you sure the inlay is not a Stingray? Looks like it to me. I have several of Bill's early cues, before he put his logo on them, and the workmanship is near perfect. He has a much better finish on his cues now. I suspect your number is correct for the cue and will increase over time.
