if they were older ones, I'd jump on it quickly. good luck though, and nice name you have there. thanks for the heads up, Jeff

older ones?....I didn't know there were older ones? My set is just like Jeff's. I remember I paid $20 for them, or I got 2 for $20?....anyway...

they made older ones, yes they did...no real names you'd recognize though. they're smaller cards shaped like a t206 honus wagner baseball card

These are not antique cards but the set does include legends in the set.

Shame those old PBT card sets aren't worth much. They are pretty cool for the novelty. One thing I never understood....did they really think they would mint one million of them? I mean 1,000,000. That's a lot of sets.

There were older Billiard cards made back in the early 1900-1930ish era they were tobacco cards like the T209 Honis Wagner type card, I'm sure Deno has some pictures of them on his site or he can post some. The funny thing about the set for sale is the players had to pay if they wanted a card from what I hear. Another funny note is how clueless Duke wants to buy billiard cards even though he is giving up the game LOL.

I have always thought if someone took the time and sent these cards out to the individual people on them with a return envelope, that probably 90% would autograph it and send them back. Maybe even with a little note or letter.

How neat would it be to have a set of these with 100 or more of them autographed.

I have aquired some unique cards in my life time. I have over 30K basketball cards, a couple of boxes of Upper Deck cards from 1990 that have never been opened. I have about 100 old tractor trading cards that are pretty cool. I will attempt to win this auction as well and add them to the collection.
