With billiard shafts, we always think short ferrule.
After shooting with these shafts, is it normal that they tend to crack after 2-3 years?
I have been shooting with a great US made cue for many years and replaced the original ferrule after more than 10.
Now after 3 years, my extra shaft has the same cracks.
I use Moori medium tips.
My only thought could be, the shorter the ferrule, the less deflection.
This brings up a question about ivory vs plastic.
Ivory plays way too hard (like rock),and plastic makes you consider tip and ferrule!
Very interested in what the general billiard population thinks about this point.

Bill, this is not the new Tiger I recently got from you.
That cue is playing better than anything I have ever shot with!
