I have a passion for learning and a unhealthy love for pool. I spend a lot of time on the road and found that with audio books I can get an education on almost anything. I have a collection of billiard books and instructional DVDs that would impress anyone. I have a kindle that I love like my pool cue, and I discovered that their are absolutely no books on pool in audio version. I have about 6 or 7 on poker and i must say I now can play some great poker. i would love to listen to my favorite books while i was driving or even while i was practicing. the books i want on audio would be A Mind for pool, The pro Books, I came to Win, and all the road books and fictional pool stories. I have the book Running the table about Kid D, and listened to it about umfteen million times and love it. I wrote Phil Chapelle and the Monk and talk to Bob Henning on the phone all nicest guys in the world. My goal with this post is for other players to express their desire for audio versions of billiard books to show the value of this market and get them on the shelf. the product is already made just changing the package to be used in ways a normal book cant be used. i can take my kindle to the table and see illustrations a lot easier than i can a book. i know i am lazy but i have alot on my plate and reading has took a back seat to audio books for me. thanks Tim

Books on Tape

Been doing the same thing for a long time...., I'm always on the road so the audio books are the way to go. I dont know how the market would be for Pool audio books, but they have one customer for sure, I'm in!

Stroked out

I had an incident 10 years ago and it messed with the vision center of my brain. I listen to audio books all the time because of this. I asked a few authors on here if they had considered an audio selection for their books and none had. I am behind the idea 100%. I will never be a world beater because of the vision problem, but the option to listen to billiard resources on audio would be great.

Max Eberle just released his book "Zen Pool" as an audio book.

Record audio from DVDs - Audacity

Here's an idea. You can record the audio from instructional DVDs in MP3 format then listen to that in your car. Just let the dvd play and use a program like Audacity to record the sound. It's not perfect, and many times it won't make sense without a visual, but it's better than nothing. Often times when you're out of your car you'll remember a particular segment and you can throw the DVD in and see what was talked about.

I dunno - just an idea...

I'd love to see, (hear) more Audio Training media, or at least have the more of the most popular books turned into an audio tape...

I drive quite a bit...and it would be great to be able to listen to the book in entirety while I'm driving...and then, to even listen to it while I'm playing!

Sounds like another approach to improvement!

Zen pool will get that thanks, i actually am bad about watching dvd while driving it mostly talk anyway but I seriously got to stop doing this. I like run out radio alot and accu stats. I am new to az but i am addicted already lol.
