The light fixture inside the wooden frame is welded out of twenty-gauge steel and is held on by nuts. The lamp holder ends are screwed in place, and are replaceable. A rapid start ballast and two 48" fluorescent bulbs ensure correct table lighting. The light includes a pull-chain switch, and is 110 volt with a grounded cord. UL listed, union-made in the USA.
