Pretty much, and some tech spiel they’ll have put in an add.Your saying decals are only thing different ?
Find what works and roll with it. Can probably find something 1/10 the price that feels just as good. Depends how firmly the marketing team gets its claws into your psycheI haven’t spent any real time with a BK3 but the BK4 is excellent. I had a BK Rush and the BK4 is pretty much its equal. I even just got a BK Rush shaft for my BK4 butt after selling the BK Rush full cue, just to have both the wood and carbon options for my BK4. Anyway, took it out with the carbon shaft today and honestly can’t say it breaks any better than the wood shaft.
I agree, I have a Rush Tempest now that im going to sell, for the little bit that I play I will break just as good with a $300 stickFind what works and roll with it. There’s been some great threads about break cues in the past. Suggest to OP to do a little digging. Try as many cues as he possibly can.
I am sure you will find something you like. You’re not bound to anything for life. Buy what you can afford and get the most out of it. Keep trying other cues. Enjoy the processI agree, I have a Rush Tempest now that im going to sell, for the little bit that I play I will break just as good with a $300 stick
The LiSi (CueLees) cue is nice. My first one was that exact model. It was about 300$ cheaper when I picked mine up here in China. Price has risen slightly now though. Nice flex to it, and a relatively thin taper which I liked. Dislike the phenolic tip and the joint pin. Try one out, you will not be disappointed. But as the rest of your post mentions, it’s because it looks nice and you want it. Not because of some special high tech that will make you break better. One of these days I'm gonna have to break with a Predator, or any high-dollar break cue, to see what all the hype is about. All I now know is that I often play with or next to people that have them and I don't see anything really different between what I accomplish with my 45+ year old Adam cue with a $100 break shaft (maple with a Bulletproof break tip) or my Little Monster CF from Amazon and their multi-hundred dollar hi-tech break cues. (I will say they look the part though, the part of serious pool players. Confidence booster, surely)
I'm not knocking the people who buy them. I understand & support buying whatever you want. I do this with playing cues. I just haven't been able to open myself up to break cues that cost more than $200. Maybe finally trying one for myself will change that.
ps - I have been unusually tempted by the Cuelees break cue that Mickey Krause uses. That one goes for almost $500.
Yeah but you get extra momentum from that large behind!I agree, I have a Rush Tempest now that im going to sell, for the little bit that I play I will break just as good with a $300 stick
