BK3 shaft

So I recently bought a BK3. I love the cue it has improved my break quite a bit. My question is this after looking at the shaft it appears to be a one piece wood shaft not a pie spliced shaft like the other predator cues. Am i right or wrong here.

If this is so did they do it for strength? Looks maybe? Feel?. I would appreciate any insight on this or opinions. Thanks.

It is a laminated shaft, I split it along the laminate once.

According to Predator, it's carbon fiber reinforced.

I have studied this thing over and over again. I cant see the laminations like i can on my z2 shaft. If its laminated i cant tell at all and ive even used a magnifying glass lol

I have one and its not laminated

So, I broke a shaft along the length while breaking, that's just weird. Have not seen that happen before.

BTW. BrandonBilliardGuy on youtube says laminated.

I hope you don't mid the temporary hijacking of this thread but I'm curious if anyone has a different tip on their BK3 than the stock tip

thats what made me wonder if they changed the design. cause as stated im very sure its one piece with a carbon fiber core.
