I must admit I really like them. I've been playing with them for about 2 months.
They are made from pig skin that is slightly more textured than Kamui Black tips, it's a little like sniper tips - but black, well kind of it's hard to explain.
They hold chalk well and will burnish at the sides easily.
They did mushroom a little in the first week, I re-shaped and re-domed them and not touched them since. I have not even roughed them up since.
I play with the soft (Stroke) tip.
I think people can waffle on about tips and everyone has their own idea how a tip plays or should play and nobody is write or wrong.
All I suggest is you give one a go I'm sure you'll be happy, all you need to do is choose the type soft or medium.
