Opponent broke and ran 2 balls, my balls were spread nicely and I had the progression of the run in my head. Made 5 balls as planned but got out of shape for the 6th, I was so focused on the plan in my head I attempted to make that 6th ball anyway, I missed and ended up losing the game. After the game I was asked why I didn't shoot the other ball, which was straight in, instead of the one I missed on, I didn't have an answer because I was so focused on my plan I didn't even look at the other ball.
I was so confident in the run it just never occurred to me to change mid stream. What a dope I was, I don't think I have ever had such tunnel vision while playing pool.
Blinded by the run, or a senior moment. This is firmly in the memory bank under "don't do that again" idiot.
