Been doing a bit of research on Bludworth cues anyone here play with a bludworth? any opinions at all? I dont know how collectible these are or if there is a demand for this maker. I'm just getting a feel for this maker (and thanks, I know he posts here.) Thanks for the opinions in advance.

As his dealer I feel inclined to reply- Add anything ya like Blud.

I have many many happy customers who own Bludworth's as their playing cues. He has about a dozen designs that he makes many variations of with different materials, and a bunch of new ones to be released soon. Any cue can be inlayed with ivory, wood or metals, including the following materials:
Malachite, spider turquoise, [man made mother of pearl], ivory, gold, sterling silver, and platinum.
Woods - Curly Maple, Tiger Maple, Pink Ivory, Snakewood, Camatia, Rosewood, Birdseye Maple, Tulipwood, Bloodwood, Purple Heart, Kingwood, Ebony, Cocobolo, Bocote.

Playability: The cue hits very soundly with Excellent feedback to the player. You know when you have hit it good or missed it a bit by the way the cue "speaks" to you. All of his cues are balanced exactly the same, also a sign of great craftsmanship and knowledge of materials. Balance point is usually about 1 1/2 inches above the top of the wrap. He makes a thinner handle on all his cues which I prefer. The finishes on his cues are outstanding, on par with the best I have seen from any cuemaker. ncie work with the paint Len. He only uses top grade materials for your cue, no second rate shaft wood, Ivory, or other materials...all nice specimens.

Plus, he is a great guy to work with. He will make sure you are getting exactly what you want out of a cue and usually can deliver within 6 months for a custom order.

edit: You can check out of high res pic of my personal playing cue made by blud last year on this old thread:

or do a search on my user name to find other pictures of cues I had for sale in the past.

Chrisaaa,

We own several cues and jump cues... They are respectably some of the best cues made.

Blud Cues

First off I'd like to thank Mr. Bludworth for posting to this thread and providing me with much useful information. It seems that a few people in here enjoy his craftmenship and I think adding one of his works to my collection (Tad, Southwest, Gina, Porper, McWorter, Padgett, Prewitt, Buss, Judd) would be a great addition. I have a wierd thing about cues though. I like to buy them from people (cuemakers) I know on a personal level it makes me feel that my cue has a particular meaning to me and after some research its nice to see that he backs his product personally. Thank you all for your responses they have been very useful.
