This is the most classic games that are made on a pool table without the aid of sticks . To play the game using only nine balls (also known as bottles of course): four red, four white and one blue, smaller than the others with the dot function. It can be played either on the pool table type International (284 x 142 without holes) still used to play with other specialty Italian-style pool, or on narrow tables with 6 holes.
Billiards and bottles
The number of players is typically two, but often there is also a game with four players in pairs, any two players are divided evenly balls, usually two balls each.
The game rules are in part borrowed from that of the bowls , in fact the main purpose is to place their ball closest to the pallino than the opponent. Even the alternating shots between players is regulated in a similar manner: each turn lasts until the player was unable to approach the ball or the opponent has no more in this attempt, out of its 4 marbles available. Depletion of marbles by both players and ended the round points are awarded to those who have placed their balls closer to the ball, counting how many balls are closer to the pallino than the first ball of the opponent good.

With games of billiards cue is a common presence on the board of 5 pins (4 whites and a red central) that the player must attempt to shoot down the opponent with a ball or the ball, get points add to his game. This score becomes negative but in the unlikely event that the pins fall at the hands of their ball.
The points you get with the fall of pins for each pin is 2 white and 4 for the red pin (8 pin if the red is the only shot down).
A major difference compared to other pool games is that the firing position is fixed: in fact, every player on both teams, in making the shot should always be placed along the short side of the table, chosen at the beginning of game. The player can lean on the billiard table and can extend laterally arm while making the shot, but must keep at least one foot on the ground and fixed in position. This special feature allows you to place the pool in tight spaces compared to other games, since there is no need to have the same space around all sides of the pitch.
The play is considered valid only if they launched the ball over the midline of the field and provided that it does not touch any bank before doing so. If so where the ball is in the middle of the field closer to the player, he must throw the ball towards the far shore and then return to it towards you.
This game is of paramount importance to the initial shot in each round of play because the player is allowed to freely position the ball in the opposite half of snooker and hitting him with appropriate expertise can get many points with the fall of the pins. The right in this shot usually wins the first round, with the method defined in the ACC that the player is entitled to a shot (conducted jointly with the opponent) is able to get closer to shore than his ball after the same has first touched the opposite. In subsequent rounds the right to start the player who has just won the previous run.
The matches are held until they reach a certain number of points, usually 90 in a single game (one on one) and 80 pairs in a game (two against two), however, set at the start. One very important thing that every player must behave in a correct based on principles of fair play against the opponent
