I took a ride to a pool room I've never been to last night, just to check the place out because they have good tournaments from what I've read. I got a rack of balls and headed over to the table, they were 9' AMF tables. Having never played on these type tables I was curious. When I hit the first rail the cueball went 3 feet past my intended position to my surprise. The bed of the table played at normal broken in Simonis speed, but the rails were easily twice as fast as any Crown I've played on. Anyone else ever run into this? The nice thing was, after getting used to the rail speed, you could really tighten up a bank angle. This was fine for 1 railers, but going 2 or more rails was just freaky...
