Bone Ivory?

I recently saw a production cue with a ton of 'Bone Ivory' for a very cheap price brand new. Is it that bone ivory is very cheap and elephant tusk ivory is expensive? What are the physical differences? And, if I have a cue built by someone, how can I know that they used tusk ivory vs. bone ivory?

Bone Ivory is about 1/4 to 1/3 the cost of Elephant Ivory if you are using quality bleached camel bone. If you are using cow bone it is even cheaper. The camel bone I have been importing looks great, but has less grain than ivory. The camel bone works almost indentical to elephant ivory. Believe it or not the camel is getting harder to get because of all the paper work it takes to clear customs with it. I have had some caught in customs for almost two months.
