anxious to get this contraption, will probably attach it to one of my lesser expensive cues so i dont take any chances on damaging the ferrule/shaft on one of my good cues.

i struggle a lot with the straight in ones (follow, stun, draw), try and practice them almost every night. the long straight draw shot is the most difficult for me. hope this trainer will tell me what my stroke is doing on all three of the straight in shots. and, therefore, hopefully i can pinpoint the solution.

however, the other night i used a couple of pieces of the small tape, put them about an inch apart on the table, about 2 feet long, and practiced the straight in shots. this gave me a little feedback, i seemed to be jerking to the left just slightly on the follow through.

what about you posters out there that have used this device? do you guys like it? what kind of feedback did you get? were you satisfied, or thrilled with the feedback it gave you?

I bought one to have for myself, and if it didn't help,I would give it to a lesser player. I am keeping it folks! It helps you realize what you are doing, so you can analyze, then correct things. Many pro players don't hit center until the last stroke, and now you can view what you yourself are doing over the cue ball. I have nothing but great things to say about Joe Tucker. He 'seems' to be without ego, and very honest about his findings with his video. I get bored easy with drills and things, so I was trying to get some pizazz out of doing them. I thought I would buy this thing so I could try something else. It's nice to get back to playing position with the middle of the cueball, and this will definitely help you in that area.

I also bought one a couple months ago but haven't used it enough to see if it's going to help. I know my stroke is off center very badly and I need help. I've put on so much weight the last few years that I can't seem to get my stroke straight. I used it for about ten shots one night before I was interupted and the legs never once contacted the ball but once I get some time with it with varying speeds I'm sure something is going to crop up.
It's truly amazing how straight Joe's stroke is on his vidio, making the object ball come straight back so perfectly to be able to drive the cue-ball straight up the table as he does.

Not to take away from him, but in another video, I saw him deviate his last stroke from left to right on every shot in a particular drill. That is what is pretty cool about him. He knows the problems that 99% of pool players have when they get down on the ball, because I suspect he has done the same as well. His stroke moves around a bit, but is very straight on the follow thru, and I suspect that it took a lot of hard work to get to that point, but that is the point. A lot of hard work will get you results, and you don't have any excuses if you don't try hard.
