Brad Patrick is a member of the Rack'em Family. He is the guy that keeps the pool tables maintained, helps us move and rebalance them when we have to move them, finds problems to fix that we may not have noticed. He also does tables for several other bars and is always on hand to help someone that needs to have a table moved from one place to the other. He is a sweet and funny guy and a pretty good pool player on top of it all.
Brad was diagnosed with a genetic progressive lung disease called Alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency (www.alpha1.org). This is a very serious disease and the treatments are very expensive. Without treatments Brad would slowly degerate to the point of needing a lung transplant. Brad has no insurance so we want to help him.
We are holding a fundraising pool tournament for Brad this Saturday June 20th, 2009. This will be an 8-Ball bartop table tournament, BCA Rules, Double Elimination (race to be determined by field). Entry is $15.00 ($10 goes to Brad and $5 goes to the pot). Sign-up starts at NOON play starts at 1pm SHARP.
Rack'em is also donating a cue stick to the raffle to help raise money, each ticket will be $5.00 we will also have other items to raffle off!
