PM if you must, but I just have to know because this seems like a steal to me. If I weren't: a) poor, and b) not a cue collector, I'd have bought this cue hundreds ago.

I'm not getting it. Are you really saying that this cue, cue #1, is not worth $700?! I can see it not having brought the original asking price of $1500 not being an almighty scruggs and all, but $700, how can it not be a killer deal at that?Shorty said:I think its just a matter of Scruggs Vs. Frey as the name on the cue. Scruggs being more popular and well known, whereas Frey is not.

I'm asking in all seriousness because I've recently returned to the pool world and am astounded at the thousands of dollars people are throwing around for a cue these days. I used to be able to get a decent used Black with ivory ferrules for $500 bucks and now it'd cost me as much as the laptop I'm typing this on. With people willing to pay over a thousand dollars for relatively plain cues by one or another maker, this just seems ridiculously low for something that has to be unique. Maybe I'm wrong, is Frey making a run of 200, #1 cues? or is this the only one?
Like I said, PM me if you need to, anyone. If I'm missing something simple here and you're just protecting bushwhacker's feelings by not posting it publicly, let me know. I just am not getting it.
