i would say the sledge is the best on the market for what it is designed to do.......on the other hand to take a break jump that also plays good i recommend a good hard buffalo tip cut down and flattened on the rown as to not get any unnecessary english when either breaking or jumping....trick taught to be by richie szmansky out of augusta......it really does the trick and if you leave a little roundness on the edge you can play with it in a pinch or if you like just have a extra shaft made for playing........juston coleman

I have owned the McDermott B/J cue for 12 years. I use a triangle tip on it. I have played with just about every B/J cue on the market and have stuck with the Mcdermott. It is 19 0z and it is a hell of a cue for the money. I play with a 2000.00 custom Schon cue, and can afford any B/J cue on the market.

I had an Omen that I sold on Ebay. It did not outperform the Bunjee in either jumping or breaking. Unless they are different now that the one I had in May 03 I would say that proving it to be the best JB on the market would be difficult. The Omen was a nice cue and felt real good to play with though. I would play with an Omen any day but I would use the Bunjee for jumping and breaking.

I respect your opinion John but that doesnt echo everyone elses. I had a Sledge and sold it for the same reasons you sold the Omen...its all a matter of taste. You feed your horse and I'll feed mine, :D

Voodoo Daddy, you are correct. It is a matter of taste and preferance. Anyone, and I mean anyone, who says THEY make the best J/B cue is pompous to say the least. By the way, I got a horse too. That SOB will show ya how to jump!

Just got one about a month ago and I love it. They do adjust the weight of the cue if needed. I'm very much impressed with the quality of the cue and it hits really well.
