what is your take on this issue??? are you by nature a great shotmaker, whose agressive??? are you shy, and timid, and play safe? or do you set traps for your opponent, and let them break out clusters???

Don't send a boy to do a man's job! Break it out yourself! I am an aggressive player (often too aggressive) who thinks only of "how can I get out from here" when I step to the table. I only play safe when I am forced into it, much to the detriment of my win-loss record (and my wallet). But I am learning. I have recently started to work on my defensive game and it is improving. But I still have that "all offense, all the time" attitude when I play. I have a long way to go.
Every game is different. You play whatever that game demands. Each opponent is also different and their ability and tendencies must be considered. Sometimes if you try and trap someone you might end up getting trapped.
