Break Pot Must Go!! Ideas needed.

If a player's ticket get's drawn midway through the tourney they have 1 chance to break the 8 or break and run. This rack is separate from the tourney. Two tickets are pulled each night.

If you're just wanting to get rid of some of the pot, when you do the drawing, if the guy don't make the 8 on the break, and fails to run out, go ahead and pay a small percentage for each ball made.

I played in a 9-ball tourney a couple of years ago, about an hour drive each way. First week I went, the break and run pot was about $8000. Guy broke, made a ball, which don't count for cash, but is necessary to continue shooting. 9 ball gets spotted if made. He ran 3 balls and got like $2700. Guys were coming from all over to play. Extra tickets were being sold like crazy. 3 weeks later, it was over $11000. A friend of mine got drwn out. He had 9 other local guys and himself in a mini corporate deal. $20 each, and he was the shooter if they got drawn. He ran an incredible rack and got paid around $9900. Got his cut, and I believe all the others tipped him an extra $100 each.
That was one of the most incredible runouts I have ever seen.

Personally, I would be upset if you changed the rules after I had already put money in the pot.

If you change the rules now, you will not satisfy everyone that has put money into the pot. Keep that in mind.

Man I wouldn't change a thing, isn't buiness good that night, let the Pot grow, can only be better for you and the player that finally win's the pot!
