Your question for a 1x2 case then a break cue does not really add up.

Almost any break cue, including a house cue is not bad and will keep your playing cue tip/shaft safer. You need to try a bunch, for a first one almost anything you get from a $60 J&J thing to a $500 custom is as good as another.

My favorite break cue is a 20oz rear weighted house cue from what I tried so far.
