I seem to have a problem with getting into that high gear when I really need step up to win at the table. I've tried everything I even went so far as to bet my cue on a race to 11 in 9-ball,I lost 10-11 (thankfully the bet was with a friend who let me keep my cue), I always seem to come up short!

Any suggestions are as always very welcome and much appreciated.:)

Analyze the table, not your opponent. Play the table, not your opponent. Give your opponent the respect you'd expect.

Learn how to read a table. Know the table. Confidence builds from there (and so do the wins).

Don't dwell on past shots, stay focused on what's about to come.

Don't wait for your opponent to make a mistake, be proactive and mentally center yourself of the task at hand.

Beat the table, then you'll beat your opponent. Also, when you practice, put yourself in that "Clutch" situation mentally. If you practice that enough, when the real deal hits, you'll play it like practice because you really won't care... and the balls will fall in your favor.

Always control the table; from safe play to "balls to the walls" play.
