Broken Predator shaft.

I have a problem with my Predator 314(2) shaft and am looking for some advice from anybody who might have an answer to the problem or has experienced the problem before.

It's hard to explain but here goes.

Last night i was practising like i do every night, i was practising long draw shots full table, after one shot i noticed something wrong with my shaft it now has a rattle when you move the shaft up and down and side to side, it sounds like something has came loose inside the shaft..to describe the sound if you imagaine a tiny ball bearing inside the shaft and when you tip the shaft up and down you can hear it move from the top to the bottom.

Now it is only the shaft i have checked my James white butt and there is nothing wrong with it as the shaft still makes the same sound when detached from the butt.

Has anyone ever heard of this problem before? Does anyone know what has gone wrong?

To be honest it doesnt really affect the play of the cue somehow but it is annoying me alot.

I have emailed Predator enquiring what to do next.

Any help would be appreciated

call them and let them know that you are sending the shaft in for warranty repairs. also exlain to the what happened. they should look at the shaft and then either repair it or warrenty replace it. i have personally sent it over 6 shafts for different players and myself, and they would not warranty one of them due to where it broke. (the coller)
 
A friend of mine just went through a simular experiance, where the ferrule egg shaped, (he purchased a high end Pred cue) and is now awaiting the shaft to come back from Predator..

Not sure why the trouble with the Predator Shafts, but I myself no longer use them or sell them..

There is no weight bolt in the butt of the cue as it is a James White custom with a 314(2),the problem i've got is sending it back to predator will cost me alot as i live in UK and also calling them will too.

Anybody got any idea what has gone wrong? i saw in another thread that maybe a bit of foam has came loose from the inside
