Does anybody have information on these tables such as when they were manufactured, manuals, history, etc....?
I just picked one up here in Eastern Canada and am going to do a bit of restoration on it prior to putting it back together and would love to know more.
You can maybe try going to Brunswick website. At the bottom of the page they have a history tab, that will take you to another Brunswick page that has a library tab that has old manuals, ads and fliers. Found some info on my Gold Crown III 5x10 snooker table. Would love to see pics of a 6x12!
Brunswick catalogs in the US didn't show that size. Pretty sure they were made just for the Canadian market. I'd call Ken Hash at Classic Billiards for more details. Have any pics?
Mine too is a restoration project. A guy in my town had it in storage for years and told me if I wanted it I could have it! He even helped me load it. I’ve got all the metal parts off and going to drop them off to get powder coated on Friday. Also the middle piece of slate has a small piece missing. But since it was free I don’t mind putting some money into it. I grew up playing snooker, so I felt like I kinda hit the jackpot. Here’s some pics of where I’m at now. Skirts have some scratches on them, but not too bad.
Posted these in another thread, but thought I’d post them here as well since you asked for pics. Just got all my counters, feet, pocket castings and bridge holders back from being powder coated. Went with prismic powders Polaris Copper color. I’m pleased of how they turned out. They were in really rough shape.
Looks awesome - planning to get the metals powder coated on mine as well. I've been thinking about going with a gold. I've been busy stripping about 6 coats of paint off the thing (brown, white, more brown, green and then blue). Got it down to the bare wood which looks beautiful. Will sand and likely leave it the bare wood color...... here's a few pictures of the table before it was disassembled and work in progress.
There's still quite a few of these Brunswick 6 X 12 snooker tables around here in Canada. There is one still set up at one of the local pool halls where I live. It's 5 piece 1.5 inch slate as well........

Yes - there are quite a few 6X12 Gold Crowns around.
There are even a few 6X12 Brunswick Anniversary's kicking around. There's one for sale right now in Winnipeg for $1,500.
