Brunswick Dominion that doesn't play quite right

Anything I should look out for when trying to find a new table?
I would look for a Gold Crown III or later so you do not have to worry about the rail work. Early Gold Crowns need the subrails modified to accept new K55 cushions. There are only a few mechanics out there that know how to do this work properly. Some will just slap on the new rubber which shrinks the playing field of the table by a 1/4" each way and could cause the nose height to be off. It's easy to get stuck with a hacked Gold Crown I if you don't know what you re looking for. Gold Crown III and up do not have to have the subrails modified when installing new rubber. If you find a table you are interested in, I'd ask lots of questions. How did you get the table? Do you know where it came from? Did you have any work done to the table like tightening the pockets? Who did the work? What did it cost you? Answers to these types of questions will tell you what you are getting.
