Is a 1960's something Brunswick Sport King a good table for home use? I found one for $1000 that has new (2005) Brunswick speed rails and I think I can get it for less.

Thanks

Sport king

What size table? Size and condition determines value, my experience though a sport king is a quality table I have played on many and the have all played well, with the right table mechanic, I am sure yours will too. I would put the table value at 800-1200.

I think you will be pleased, but the price is a little high to me. Of course you said you can get it lower, so let us know how you do!

Table choice.

Thank you for your help. I am going to look at a 1931 Randolf and a 1950's anniversary and a 1997 GC Monday. I think these are better choices. More expensive but worth it. The Randolf is $2200, the Anniversary is $2400 with deliverey and the GC is $2900 with Delivery. I think I will have a hard time deciding. Are these fair prices if the tables are in good shape. I really like the look of the Randolph. Thanks again

brunswick tables

The Anniversary is in general a better playing table than the Randolph by a good margin. I would take the Anniversary over all of them. The Gold Crown would have to be pristine and play great for me to take it over the Anniversary.

leather pocket tables vs later tables 46x92

I will be buying a used 46x92 table soon. I have settled on that size since that is what I am used to. Looking for average or even loose pockets to match my ablility.
Centennial and even anniversary would be tough in my price range unless I find a real deal. I hate the tall corner irons on most CG.
Thinking of Brunswick sportsman, sportking or maybe big g.

Wondering about leather pocket tables vs plastic pocket style tables.
I have heard the opinion that leather pocket tables do not play as well but I have never heard a reason given.

+1 ... Love the Anni... very comfortable table to play on, classic, timeless... everyone who owns one will always sing its praises.
