Here is one animal of a player. I have tried several shafts on it. All of them play better on this butt. Cheap fiber joint and fiber joint ring. 30" butt with .839 joint size. Rubber bumper screwed on with a square drive (as the Canadians were wont to do)
Absolute performer, blows them all away. Draws pool balls against the grain on snooker cloth like nothing I've ever seen.
Hurricane shaft (thanks J) and Schuler shaft (thanks N) pictured, both play effortlessly on this butt. Carom and pool shafts on a snooker butt. Sometimes wood is just special, especially 71 year old ebony fullsplice cues.
