Over the last few weeks, I have grown to appreciate the bar box, Calcutta's, and particular idiosyncrasy it brings. As a pool addict, I have come to the conclusion, for now, this is most likely the best avenue we have to grow the sport (or game, if you wish).
The issue I am having is this word "brutal". See, it started out as a harmless little word a few weeks back, that would be thrown around by our gracious host, Ray"Bigtruck" Hansen. All of the sudden the chat room guy's, and possibly a couple gal's, thought it would be a good idea to take a drink of an adult beverage(and a koolaid or two) whenever our host would announce this word. I am thinking, to myself, bar box pool how many times could brutal be said, I mean these are top guy's and gal's on the stream.
Flash forward to this week, our host kinda caught on to this little game a few of us were playing, and bought it up to Brandon Shuff. Ray had looked up some synonym's for the word to try an shake it up a little. Brandon stated, and I paraphrase, that word pretty much sums up this game.
I was thinking, but it is that kinda bring ya back, can't get enough, beautifully simplistic, complicated type of brutal, right.
But "sho nuff" even at the bar box level the game can be brutal, but more disheartening is when I look at some of the threads on the main page of our forum. That is when "Brutal" really seems to have the state of the game(or sport, if you wish) pretty well summed up.
