Buddy Hall DVD

I just bought a Buddy Hall DVD with "How Do You Win From Here" and "Buddy Hall's Clock System" but won't get it for a few days.

I have met him before and watched him play in person and on video and just love the way he controls the cue ball. Also heard he was a good instructor.

Haven't heard too much about either of these videos. Just wanting to know if anyone has watched either of them and what you thought about them.

I have it on DVD. I really enjoyed watching "The Clock System". Its a simple concept that I think will greatly improve your position play.

Can't really comment on "How Do You Win From Here". I watched it once. But everytime I pop in the dvd I keep watching "The Clock System".

Clock system has very useful information. You will start to notice these basic position shots and start playing shape for them after you watch the tape. You can play shape for them, all the time, in 8 ball.


How do you win from here is no big attraction. It just shows how he got out of tough spots in previous matches.

Can't comment on the tapes, but as far as Buddy's instructing ability goes: he has a rep as one of the best there is. I watched him giving lessons one time, and he was very patient and, of course, very knowledgeable. I've been watching the best in pool for over 40 years and I think Buddy has the most technically perfect game of anyone I've ever seen. You always hear the expression "he makes it look easy". NOONE made it look easier than Buddy when he was at the top of his game, primarily because he would always put whitey EXACTLY where you would put it if you had ball-in-hand. I would trust anything that involved Buddy Hall.
