Buddy Hall & The Glove???

I was watching an Accu-Stats DVD last night from the 2001 Masters match between Ralf Souquet and Efren Reyes. Buddy and Grady were the commentators.

At one point Grady asked Buddy if him and the Glove had went to Nashville to try and achieve music stardom. Buddy said no, but he also said that him and the Glove had sent NASA a telegram during the Apollo missions in the 1970s letting them know if they find any alien life forms that play pool they wanted first crack at them.

So, who was the Glove???

How did pool attract the milk drinkers? Forever pool was all about NOT being a milk drinker and sure as hell not about getting up early for yoga!

I'm honestly tickled shitless that pool is on the rebound but i'd be lying BIG time if i said i don't miss the 'darker' side of the game. Hell, that's why i started: action, easy $$, killer weed, hot chix, good times 24/7. It had its downside for sure but i'm glad i got to sweat some of the 'golden' days of the American poolroom scene. Just wish i coulda been in on the 60s'/early 70's stuff, heard it was even crazier. The tales i hear make me wish i was born a few yrs earlier.

Too many little babies are playing today. I use to like going to the pool hall and everyone talking trash all day. I think it has to do with all players wearing gloves now.

No shit! When i hung around Cochrans in SF every hustler had a nickname. To name a few oakland whitey,slim pickens,1 eye hank,canadian dick,legs & my favorite story teller Popcorn. Lol
