It's that time of year for all the one-pocket fans.

The payouts are going to be huge for a 1pkt event.

41 players at $2000 entry + $20,000 added = $102,000 tournament prize fund

Last year, the Calcutta was right at $315,000 and with the addition of Filler and SVB this year it will most likely be even higher. 😃

The 2024 Buffalo Pro One Pocket Classic champion, "Superman" Roberto Gomez, will be going for back-to-back titles this year and another huge payday.
Tony Chohan is the only player to have won back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022.

Players are actually paying $2000 to enter a tournament?
And a pro 9ball on 7ft? what? the game is too hard?
This is a joke, what's going on with pool in the USA

the 9-ball is a side show here, the 1p is the big one. good tournament. cool to see both filler and fedor in the mix
They can still put up 9ft tables...
And again, $2000 entry fee? put that much cash on lottery tickets and you'll have a better chance to take some money home.

I guess we should all ask you what we should do with OUR money. 🤦‍♂️

I don't like one pocket, but everyone knows that it is the main event and that the 9 ball on 7 footers is just a sideshow tournament.

actually they need to make it a ten thousand entry fee to make it more exciting and maybe get coverage and make some money for the house.

in poker thousands line up to put up ten grand and can lose it all in one the first hands of the tournament. but it has made many players multi millionaires many times over. and many getting huge monthly paychecks representing companies.
that wouldn't happen if the buy in was 2000.

just a medium stakes game in many casinos the buyin is 2000 or more. and you can win first place what would be the prize for a major pool tournament in an evenings play.

there's a massive difference in the amount of potential winners in WSOP and the amount of realistically potential winners in pro one pocket. the players (and their backers) know this and the field would be miniscule in the end

As much as I’d like to see higher entry fees it doesn’t work in pool as there’s very little variance. In poker anyone can suck out and win, in pool that doesn’t happen.

Still gonna be a great event. 1P is the nuts, best game there is
