Build your own Carbon Fiber Shaft?

Hey builders. I have only had a lathe for about 9 months. I have gotten pretty decent with doing tips and the odd ferrule on wooden shafts. I have not played with any CF joints or ferrule ends. I was looking for a CF for my meucci, but I got the idea in my head that I should try to make one! I am looking for advice on that. Where is a good place to buy blanks? Probably foam filled already so it's easier for me. Also, is there places that sell them where you can get a logo laser engraved on it? What material is the best material for the joint and ferrule ends?

Please answer as if you're talking to a new guy, I am very new. Any suggestions or ideas would be great, thanks in advance.

I have purchased CF tubes from China in the past and still have a few untouched. They are 30" long, 12.5 at tip,
.848 at joint. Fill is not an issue but I do not use foam. Juma is a good material for either/both ends for starters.
Engraved logo's are not something I am familiar with, nor interested in.

Thanks for the info. I will dig around for a supplier on Google. I see a ton, but it's hard to know who has quality.
